When it comes to thrilling theme park events, Universal Orlando Resort sets the bar high with its iconic Halloween Horror Nights. This year’s event, running on 48 select nights through November 3, brings even more terror with ten new haunted houses, five scare zones, and a live show.

But the scares don’t stop there Halloween Horror Nights also delivers a compelling lineup of food and drinks that will have guests returning for more.

Chef Jens Dahlmann, vice president and executive chef at Universal Orlando Resort, explains: “We take inspiration from the movies or shows to enhance the overall storytelling through our food and beverage offerings. It’s a fun event, so we enjoy it and not take ourselves too seriously while still delivering on presentation and flavor.”

With so many options, it’s hard to experience it all in one night. Fortunately, Universal offers a Frequent Fear Pass so guests can return for more scares and snacks.

Ghostbusters Inspired Delights: Who You Gonna Call?

This year’s event features a Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire haunted house, which has inspired several spooky food options.

One standout is Slimer’s Korean Corn Dog, a Korean-style hot dog dusted with Cheetos and filled with sage derby cheese and a hot dog. “When guests bite into it, they get an oozy green cheese pull and the taste of Cheetos, creating a multisensory experience,” says Dahlmann.

For those with a sweet tooth, the Frozen Death Chill offers a mint-cheesecake filling coated with Bugles and edible glitter. But perhaps the most talked-about snack is the Mini Stay-Puft S’more, a campfire favorite transformed into a treat resembling the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man, complete with a scratch-made marshmallow charred to perfection.

Drive In Style Snacks Inspired by Slaughter Sinema

Inspired by summer camp meals and old-school drive-ins, the food booth near the Slaughter Sinema 2 haunted house offers savory bites for all palates.

A fan favorite is the Summer Camp Hot Dog, Nathan’s deep-fried hot dog loaded with nacho cheese, baked beans, pepper relish, and Doritos crumbles. You can also grab one of two types of walking tacos: Ropa Vieja or Vegan Chili Style. And don’t miss the Sinema Popcorn, seasoned with Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, for an extra kick.

Savory Snacks To Keep You Going

If you need something hearty to keep up your energy during the late-night scares, check out The Red Door snack, inspired by the Insidious: The Further Haunted House. This tasty hand pie features a red pastry crust filled with potato and onion.

Another crowd-pleaser is the Bloody Goody Bag from the Triplets of Terror booth. It’s packed with crispy chicken chunks, fries, onions, peppers, and a creamy sauce, offering a filling bite before you face your next haunted house.

Sweets For The Fearless

For those venturing through the “Scare Zones,” Universal has some sweet treats. The Bride’s Cake from Twilight Tavern near Minion Café is a three-tiered vanilla cake with raspberry jam covered in chocolate a perfect dessert for chocolate and fruit lovers.

A Quiet Place inspires the Wooden Board Eclair in the New York park section. This dessert boasts a sweet and spicy chocolate pastry cream dipped in chocolate ganache and topped with an edible knife for a sinister touch.

Over at the Major Sweets Candy Factory booth in San Francisco, you can grab the Cyclops Cup, a frozen peanut butter cup topped with a candy eyeball—ideal for cooling off on a warm Florida evening.

Returning Fan Favorites: Must-Try Snacks

No visit to Halloween Horror Nights is complete without indulging in some of the event’s most iconic snacks. First up is the beloved Twisted Tater, available at Gramercy Park. This spiralized fried potato on a stick can be seasoned with salt, garlic-parmesan, or sour cream and chives—because, let’s face it, everything tastes better on a stick.

Also returning are the ever-popular Pizza Fries, a delicious combo of golden French fries topped with cheese and classic pizza toppings like pepperoni. Both Classic Pizza Fries and Vegan Pizza Fries can be found at DreamWorks Imagination Café.
